Teaching English in Junior High School

Presenters: Allan V. Antonio and Jessica Moore (Assistant Language Teachers) and Hisae Hosaki (English Instructor), all with the Higashihiroshima Board of Education

This presentation will address the challenges facing English teachers in Japanese junior high schools. First, the instructors will discuss the new English curriculum and how it is supposed to be implemented. Second, they will evaluate the reality of instruction in junior high schools. Finally, they will explain about effective ways to educate students in English.
